Privacy Policy

The Let'sEat browser extension stores your current shopping list — recipe name, store, items, quantities, and checked-off status — in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device.

We do not collect browsing history, search queries, purchase history, location, or any personally identifiable information through the extension. We do not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers inside the extension.

When you press 'Shop this recipe' on the Let'sEat website, the recipe ingredients are sent directly from the web page to the extension using Chrome's own runtime messaging. The message stays on your computer and is not transmitted to any server.

The extension asks for storage (to remember your list), activeTab/scripting (to show the floating panel when you choose), and access to supported grocery sites (so the panel can appear on those pages). It does not read page content except to render its own panel.
